Poetry and visual art by Lars Brandt Stisen
I wrote a poem and had it inked on my arm:
"Hours become days through temporary solutions, every gap an earthquake in wonderland."
The words gradually shatter as they progress towards the "earthquake". I made the design inspired by
Print Press/Comic books and had it done at Tony Roach Tattoo here in Berlin.
"The artist's fate" (Self portrait)
Personal issues are always relative. They might seem small compared to world issues and still have a justified
weight when it comes to personal life. That's life in big and small.
Artists are mostly troubled by their own character and then driven by their troubles, willingly or unwillingly...
"Deception" (Self portrait)
I always end up being caught in the deception of my own creations... So I'm running!
It's not a question about being crazy, the question is how we deal with it...
"Control and Rebellion"
Like culture and subculture there is always a complement to the opposite. If one becomes greater than the other
nature will react to balance the equation. Interfere and blood will flow thick with madness...
These are my hands and this is my blood.
I’m not a slave to the monetary system. People pay me for doing what I would do anyway. I’m not like normal people
who go to work, eat, fuck, sleep and die. I create things and shape the world.
"WE ARE SCHÖN"
"Shut up 'n dance"
"Power to create"
"ART IS BIGGER THAN LOVE"
Fragments of an egocentric mind or expressions derived from the reflective nature of my mind?
Either way it must take physical form in order to leave my mind and give room for the constant emergence
of new issues that keeps me trapped in here with myself.
I feel like a child lost in my own world.
Inspired I sometimes forget to eat, don't care about time, money or what other people think. It's just me and her alone
together, alert and yet half asleep, sinking into layers of creation... My heart is lost in there. I am a sucker on her watch.
"Inspiration is everything"
This exact moment was frozen in time and is now replaying on your screen in an infinite loop, right this moment...
