I am a Danish artist based in Berlin Germany. I do conceptualization, art-direction and photography for advertising, fashion and art projects.
I was born and raised in the city of Aarhus. As a child I made cardboard camera mockups at my mother's bookbindery while dreaming of producing television. Watching the framed image through the viewfinder has always fascinated me. But instead I spent 9 years after art school writing and producing music while situated in Copenhagen and later for a short period in Colmar France. At one point I took the opportunity to work as lighting technician at a theater in Basel Switzerland where I gained valuable insights about lighting and the fascinating world of theater. I later turned my focus on computer programming back in Denmark where I spent 7 years as software developer and IT entrepreneur.
In the summer of 2008 I decided to revive the magic of my childhood dreams and focus on photography. After a year of trial and error I was able to earn a living as self-taught photographer. At this point my advertising work were already published in magazines around the world.
Today I am living in my Berlin studio, making projects under the MADDOCMAN brand managed by my brother Bo Brandt Stisen.
